Social media marketing programs concentrate on ways to create content that invites  and provides readers with information about a business that they can share with their social networks. Information about your business spreads from user to user and is more readily accepted because it is coming from a trusted, third-party source, rather than the brand or business itself.

  1. Many business owners initially saw social media as strictly for younger people. Now it is proving itself to be an essential method for interacting with customers and prospects. For every day that your business is not involved in social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and Yahoo you are missing out on potential customers.

    • I am an online marketing manager and I want to be able to know a little bit about graphic design and html so I can easily create and edit pages online. I also want to be able to edit graphic images (very basic stuff) and save them in optimal ways for my page. which software should I be learning? Photoshop? Indesign? studio? Dreamweaver? thanks

      • Amarjit, the software that you should specialize in depends on what your client is trying to accomplish with their websites. Static sites = HTML, Dynamic interactive site – WordPress may be a better option. If they need to maintain some type of database you may need to know SQL. To be safe WordPress, Dreamweaver and SQL make a good start.
